    Snark Park X KITH.

The Snark Park X KITH preview exhibit was an exceptionally Soho type of experience. As we arrived at the store an hour and a half early we were informed that the first 50 people had already claimed the free Snark Park totems. Nonetheless, we still had the opportunity to preview the exhibit. But not without waiting outside in the 13-degree weather for two hours. Plus, while waiting in the line we were approached by a journalist and given an on-the-fly-interview about the event (I would link the interview/magazine but sadly I don’t remember the name).

The Snark Park X KITH preview exhibit was well worth the wait.

    SNARK PARK X KITH VIDEO.

The preview was held on the second floor of the storefront. It featured four totems all representing something different. Most art is prohibited to touch but Snark Park asks us to “Please Touch the Art”. Additionally, KITH offered everyone attending the preview a free milkshake!

The event was one for the books!

You can view the full Snark Park X KITH exhibit in March & April.

    Tickets purchasable here.

  • Broadway Comedy Club

    Broadway Comedy Club

The Broadway Comedy Club located on 53rd and Broadway offers a free comedy show every Sunday night. The show features all types of comedians from those who have been in the game ten plus years and those just getting started. Sunday night, January 20th, I experienced the comedy club for the first time and I was highly impressed. The show’s host was hilarious and kept the everything running smoothly. He may have even been the best comedian of the night!

That atmosphere is casual. If you are wondering what to wear I would suggest something simple but cute. No sweats but jeans are okay. This location doesn’t require a heel or a freakum dress, but if you feel so inclined to throw on your finest clubwear it wouldn’t be out of place. The photo opp chances are there, but limited. I would recommend the stairwell or underneath the neon sign outside.

    img_0991

The show was broadcasted as being free however as New York City goes nothing is actually free. The club has a two-drink minimum for anyone watching the show. The drinks can be alcoholic or non-alcoholic the choice is yours.

The multileveled club has about two shows going on simultaneously every three hours. You could start your evening early with an 8 o’clock show or have a late night laugh during their 11 o’clock show.

Some of the featured comedians during the show I checked out were Chris Murphy and Erik Bransteen. These comics have been featured on Saturday Night Live, The Late Show, and more… Their sets had some of the audience rolling out of our seats. Overall, I would highly recommend checking out the Broadway Comedy Club any night of the week. They are open just about every day and offer “free” and ticketed shows nightly.

    Styling Tips: NYC College Student.

It’s 7:00 AM  and your College Algebra Class starts at 8:00 AM. The commute to class is about a thirty-minute train ride, and you are meeting friends for brunch right after so you need to look bomb! Here are a few tips to achieve a great look in a simple and quick way.

    1. Accessories can make any basic look turn heads.

In my accessories collection, my go to pieces in turning any boring lookout are my vintage Doorstopper Chanel Earrings and my YSL Drop EarringsLarger earrings frame the face well and bring attention to you as a person.

Alternative options to achieve a similar look:

Dancing Queen Cross Hoop Earrings: $31

    RARE 8cm Authentic 1991 CHANEL HOOP: $470

    ARCH EARRINGS: $58.90

    Irregular Shaped Hoop Earrings: $1.99

    2. Be comfortable. Don’t look comfortable.

Living in New York you could run into anyone at any time. Your next boss, your ex-boyfriend, your new boyfriend, or Luka Sabbat and if you meet any of these people you don’t want to look like you’ve just left the gym. Comfort is a must due to all the walking you have to do in the city, but that can be achieved without wearing those same old yoga pants.

Elevate your shoe collection, and the rest shall follow.

Converse X MadeMe One Star Platform: $110

SAN JUAN Mad Dog Western Boots: $159.99

Bamboo Over The Knee Boots: $160.00

Nike LA Cortez X Maria Sharapova: $100

    3. Tote bags are a must-have-item.

Big bulky bookbags have to go this school season. Tote bags are hot, and add a little something to any look. They say, “I’m carrying Vogue Magazine and my Marketing Textbook!” They’re also more convenient for train rides being that they’re lighter weight and you can easily keep an eye on your bag. Furthermore, tote bags can easily transition from the classroom to a casual shopping trip at Bergdorf Goodmans.

    Get with it.

Opening Ceremony BLACK CLASSIC LOGO TOTE: $45

    Bargain Canvas Tote: $1.34

Mini REVERSIBLE Faux Leather Tote Bag: $44

    Vintage GOYARD: $2,203

    HAPPYFISH IN WONDERLAND by Sami.

HAPPYFISH’s Sunday night runway show was definitely a walk in wonderland. The designer featured whimsical elements in multiple pieces. Most notably, the spades card bubble skirt which involved 3D cards and a structured outer shell.

Not only were the clothes a playful experience, but the furry friends came dressed to impress as well. The HAPPYFISH Runway Show included puppies and bunnies, but not just any bunny. MIFFY the New York City bunny model who was carried in by Anna-Lisa Christiane and left the stage on her bunny skateboard!

HAPPYFISH IN WONDERLAND was a joyful experience, and we at LYMBRITH wish the brand much success.

MJR Sneaks is a sneaker resell business ran solely by Myles Ramos. The entrepreneur began his business in the summer of 2017 after a life-changing week spent in New York City, New York. During that week he met several business-minded individuals all young and fairing well financially. So the original intent of MJR Sneaks was simply a way to make money, but soon Myles found a real love for the sneaker culture and the streetwear influence on high-end fashion.

In five years time, Myles Ramos is not certain he will still be in the sneaker resell business however he’d still like to have a heavy hand in the world of streetwear. Possibly even starting his own collection. Nonetheless, the most important thing that Myles Ramos has learned from it all is “If you believe you’re right, don’t let anyone tell you differently”.

  • Sneaker Culture VS High Heels

    Sneaker Culture VS High Heels

Are women over the the high heel, the uncomfortable, yet elegant and beautiful shoe?

I’m saying no, but the stats are saying yes. Heels 3 inches and higher have decreased in sales by 22% since 2015.

We see women substituting opportunities to wear a graceful heel with a cozy sneaker.

Photographed above we have Rihanna in a Molly Goddard Gown, and what? Not a heel. She’s wearing a tennis shoe. YAY or NAY?

But, we still have other fashion icons staying true to the effortless heel look. Such as Tracee Ellis Ross. Who whenever presented the opportunity to slip on a 6IN pump she takes it!

High Heels VS Sneaker Culture intertwined into Haute Couture.
