ANDY IS COMING: Series on view at The Whitney Museum.

Andy Warhol is one of the most influential and important artists in the second half of the 20th century. His work has made a major impact in the film, fashion, and art industry. Warhol was a leading figure in the visual art movement also known as POP ART.

The Andy Warhol series at the Whitney Museum opened November 12th and the exhibit is massive. There are over 350 works on display and there is an off-site display by Dia of the painting “Shadows” (bottom right image).

Andy Warhol “retired” from painting in 1965, and began working on several different projects. One of those projects included film. He created several short films which are on display in the gallery.

I highly recommend checking out the exhibit, “Andy Warhol- From A to B and back again”, at the Whitney Museum. It’s on view from November 12th – March 31st, 2019. The exhibition is flooded with decades of culture and emotion.

    Styling Tips: NYC College Student.

It’s 7:00 AM  and your College Algebra Class starts at 8:00 AM. The commute to class is about a thirty-minute train ride, and you are meeting friends for brunch right after so you need to look bomb! Here are a few tips to achieve a great look in a simple and quick way.

    1. Accessories can make any basic look turn heads.

In my accessories collection, my go to pieces in turning any boring lookout are my vintage Doorstopper Chanel Earrings and my YSL Drop EarringsLarger earrings frame the face well and bring attention to you as a person.

Alternative options to achieve a similar look:

Dancing Queen Cross Hoop Earrings: $31

    RARE 8cm Authentic 1991 CHANEL HOOP: $470

    ARCH EARRINGS: $58.90

    Irregular Shaped Hoop Earrings: $1.99

    2. Be comfortable. Don’t look comfortable.

Living in New York you could run into anyone at any time. Your next boss, your ex-boyfriend, your new boyfriend, or Luka Sabbat and if you meet any of these people you don’t want to look like you’ve just left the gym. Comfort is a must due to all the walking you have to do in the city, but that can be achieved without wearing those same old yoga pants.

Elevate your shoe collection, and the rest shall follow.

Converse X MadeMe One Star Platform: $110

SAN JUAN Mad Dog Western Boots: $159.99

Bamboo Over The Knee Boots: $160.00

Nike LA Cortez X Maria Sharapova: $100

    3. Tote bags are a must-have-item.

Big bulky bookbags have to go this school season. Tote bags are hot, and add a little something to any look. They say, “I’m carrying Vogue Magazine and my Marketing Textbook!” They’re also more convenient for train rides being that they’re lighter weight and you can easily keep an eye on your bag. Furthermore, tote bags can easily transition from the classroom to a casual shopping trip at Bergdorf Goodmans.

    Get with it.

Opening Ceremony BLACK CLASSIC LOGO TOTE: $45

    Bargain Canvas Tote: $1.34

Mini REVERSIBLE Faux Leather Tote Bag: $44

    Vintage GOYARD: $2,203
