Andrew Bolton, current Head Curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s costume institute, and his team are responsible for this year’s exhibit. Heavenly Bodies is said to be the museums largest show yet. The exhibit features a dialogue between fashion and masterworks of medieval arts. The exhibit features 40 ecclesiastical masterworks from the Sistine Chapel and over 150 ensembles from the early 20th century.

Designers on view in this years exhibition are Azzedine Alaïa, John Galliano (for House of Dior and his own label), Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana (for Dolce and Gabbana), Raf Simons (for his own label and House of Dior), Rick Owens, Pierpaolo Piccioli (for Valentino), and so many more.
